COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Alma Care Wellness Services: We collect your personal information to enable our team to provide you with the prenatal and postpartum wellness services you request from us, such as meal preparation, housekeeping and laundry services, workshops and educational support and baby supervision. While the nature of the personal information you provide us will be unique to you and your needs, in general, we may collect information such as your name, gender, date of birth, due date, birth plan, primary support person, medication information, allergies and support needs for the purposes of determining suitability for, planning and delivering our wellness services to you.  

Your Account: As an Alma Care client, you can create an online booking using our reservations portal (“Portal”). If you sign up to receive text message reminders, we will send you messages regarding your upcoming stay at the frequency you choose. 

Payment: If you purchase a service from Alma Care, we (or our authorized third-party payment processor) will collect your full name and payment information (including billing address, credit card number, expiry date and CVV code) in order to process the transaction and enable Alma Care to provide you with the services you have purchased. 

Website Chat Functionality: When you use our chat functionality to speak with a live agent to make an inquiry, provide feedback, or make a request, we may collect information about you, such as your first and last name and email address, your specific feedback or request and the contents of your messages with us. We use this information to respond to your inquiry or process your request. Please do not provide any sensitive information to us through the chat functionality.

Marketing Communications: If you sign up to receive email marketing communications, we will collect your email address in order to send you information about Alma Care resources, services, offers, and events that may be tailored to your interests and interactions with Alma Care. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of each email. Alternatively, you can opt-out of receiving email marketing communications by contacting us at the contact information provided in the “Contact Us” section below. Please note that you may continue to receive transactional or account-related communications from us.We may use services provided by third-party platforms (such as social media and other websites) to serve targeted advertisements on such platforms to you or others, and we may provide a hashed version of your email address or other information to the platform provider for such purposes. To opt out of the use of your information for such purposes, please send a request using any of the methods set forth in the Contact Us section below. 

Surveys: From time to time, we may offer you the opportunity to participate in one of our surveys on an optional basis. We use the information collected through our surveys to help us understand our clients’ needs and to develop and improve our services and Website.

Events: If you attend one of our events or webinars, we may collect your first and last name, email address, city, province, postal code, country, phone number, and any other information you may provide us in connection with the event or webinar. We collect this information so that we can communicate with you about the event and contact you about future events.

Employment: In connection with a job application or related inquiry, you may provide us with certain personal information about yourself (such as that contained in a resume, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials). We use this information for the purpose of processing and responding to your application for current and future career opportunities.

Contact Us: When you contact us with a comment, question or complaint through email, telephone, or the web chat feature on our Website, you may be asked for information that identifies you, such as your name, address and a telephone number, along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question or respond to your comment, question or complaint.  We may retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our customer service and products. Non-Identifiable Information
: We may modify or aggregate your personal information such that it cannot reasonably be associated with you, for the following purposes:(i) to protect your privacy and the security of your personal information; and (ii) to conduct research and/or analytics with the goal of improving our services and the client experience and developing new offerings. We may share such non-identifiable information or insights with certain limited third parties to assist in analytics, planning, or product and service development.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We do not sell or disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as set forth below or as required or permitted by law.
Accommodation Partners: We will share limited personal information about you with our business partners who provide accommodation to you while you receive our services. For example, we may share your full name and contact information with the facility (such as a hotel) in which we deliver our prenatal and postpartum wellness services to ensure that your check-in experience is seamless. 

Health Care and Wellness Providers: As part of our service offering, on request we assist our clients with finding other health care and wellness providers in their community. With your consent, we may share your name and contact information with your health care providers and other third-party wellness providers (e.g., your physician or other health care practitioner) for the purpose of connecting you with providers who may deliver additional care or services that we do not offer. 

Employers and Benefits Providers: We may disclose limited personal information to your employer or benefits provider for billing and invoice reconciliation purposes, including your name, date of service, and the service provided.

Service Providers: Your personal information will be transferred (or otherwise made available) to certain third parties including affiliates that provide services on our behalf. We use service providers to provide services such as hosting the Website, processing payments, and providing analytics and advertising and marketing services. Our service providers are only provided with the information they need to perform their designated functions and are not authorized to use or disclose personal information for their own marketing or other purposes. We and our service providers may access, store and otherwise process personal information outside of Canada, including in the United States or other foreign jurisdictions, where we or our service providers are located.

Sale of Business: We may transfer any information we have about you as an asset in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of Alma Care or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in corporate control.

 In general, you can visit our Website without telling us who you are or submitting any personal information. However, we collect the IP (Internet protocol) addresses of all visitors to our Website and other related information, such as page requests, browser type, operating system and average time spent on our Website. We use this information to help us understand our Website activity and to monitor and improve our Website.

We work with third parties such as ad networks and other advertising companies that use their own tracking technologies (including cookies and pixel tags) on our Website in order to provide you with tailored advertisements across the Internet.
