Nursery & Parent’s Lounge
Alma offers a supervised Nursery with sleep-safe bassinets and 24/7 care staff, ensuring peace of mind while we care for your baby. Our Care Team is always available in the Parent’s Lounge for questions and support at any hour. Our Parent’s Lounge is not only a place to grab a snack and attend a workshop, but a meeting place for parents going through a similar life phase. A place to build long-lasting bonds and continue the journey together beyond Alma.

As your delivery date nears, we address any concerns and ensure you're prepared for your stay at Alma. Additionally, enjoy a 30-minute birth doula consultation for added support.
Pre Check-In
Let us know when you're heading to the hospital and provide updates on your expected check-in time. We understand due dates are unpredictable, but any information on your arrival is greatly appreciated.
Arrival
Arrive whenever you feel comfortable—straight from the hospital or after a few days at home. We'll work with you to determine the best time. The Alma Care experience is most beneficial in the first 4 months postpartum.
What is a postnatal care retreat, and who is it for?
Postnatal retreats are for families who are within their first 6 months after giving birth. The mother, infant and partner all benefit from the expert programming.
What services are typically included in a postnatal care retreat?
Alma Care provides luxury accommodations for the new family, allowing them the time to rest, recover, learn and enjoy as a new family. Services include 24/7 care for the mother and baby, nutritious meals and snacks, lactation support and parent workshops as well as many others.
What qualifications do the care providers have?
At Alma, our Care Team comprises maternal and infant health professionals who are best in their fields. They bring experience as Registered Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Postpartum Doulas, Perinatal Support Workers, Personal Support Workers, International Midwives and passionate postpartum caregivers. All have expertise in infant care and development, including feeding, sleep training, CPR and managing multiples, ensuring that Mama is resting and recovering comfortably.
What post-Alma support or resources are available?
Our Care Team will schedule a virtual check-in approximately 3 weeks after departure. Free online resources are available on our website and ongoing support is available through our Facebook Community.
